About the Startup:

TripDoodler is a platform where conscious travelers can find and share verified sustainable travel options. Powered by our proprietary sustainability user-rating system. Travelers rate sustainability initiatives through easily visible parameters. No need to be an expert, TripDoodler provides a transparent framework and integrates all ratings into an ethical algorithm. Making it easy for travelers to leave their best footprint while building the world's first and largest user-driven database of sustainable travel choices.

Problem and Opportunity:

55% of global travelers are determined to make sustainable travel choices, but only 4% do. Because it's impossible to find trusted & verified sustainable travel options - A huge untapped market of 5.8Bn global tourists trips which equals a spend of $2.500Bn yearly.

Our proprietary sustainability user rating is directly enabling the world's largest, most socially conscious, and active generation in history - Gen Z - to be the catalyst in creating a bottom-up change we need in tourism.

What makes our startup unique?

The core of why we created TripDoodler is making the sustainable choice the easy choice for all travelers. And through our user-rating framework with a very high level of transparency and integrity, we are in the heart of the zeitgeist, directly empowering the next generation of change makers (Gen Z).

We have a very strong founder market fit with an extensive travel industry background and a strong global industry wide network combined with years of influencer and brand experience from global brand and of course solid product and tech experience.

Go-to-market plan:

85% of all travelers share their travel experiences on social media and +60% of travelers prefer recommendations from already trusted sources like like-minded travelers, friends, and family.

We reach these travelers through two strong user-rating acquisition models:

B2C Influencers - Activating our network of sustainable travel influencers and bloggers who combined has a global reach of 3M followers.

B2B Email invitation motor - Tapping into the customer base of industry players and engaging them in collecting ratings and getting strong insights directly from their customers through our automated invitation process.

Traction & Milestones:

We currently have a closed beta with 215+ users and have since march enabled +1.500 sustainable travel choices. We see a network effect where each user shares with 2 friends.

We are currently running additional user validation ads on Facebook and in one week we got 700+ clicks at a CAC of €0,3 per click. We have also signed the first 3 strategic B2B agreements for both user acquisition and revenue. TripDoodler is nominated for Nordic Startup Awards in 3 categories and the SDG Tech Awards.

Our milestones for the first half of 2022 are, based on the current user and expert validation, to build V2 with an enhanced version of the existing algorithm and stronger network effect in Q1 and go to market in Q2.

Management Team:

Josephine Piplits - CEO: 25+ years Global and Nordic Top Management travel industry experience with companies like CWT and Hogg Robinson. Holds GSTC Professional Certificate, Sustainable Tourism.

Kamari Brown - CMO: 14+ years with a strong brand, content, influencer & referral marketing experience with MTV & Red Bull.

Carla Interlicchia - Product manager: Experienced product manager. Holds a BBA in Management in Sustainable Operations, Technology & Innovation.
